Oil: the drop in crude production could weigh on the world economy

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, such as Russia, united under the OPEC+ banner, are considering a reduction of more than one million barrels per day (bpd), according to confidences from delegates. If these rumors are confirmed, this drop would be much greater than expected. Analysts were rather counting on 500,000 to 1 million barrels maximum.
