Olaya Herrera airport reopens after four hours of closure due to bad weather

The bad weather had closed the operation of Olaya Herrera airport, the Medellín air terminal, during the morning of this Friday for four hours. Because of this situation they were 12 canceled departure flights and another 14 arrivalas reported by the operator Airplan.

In addition there was 27 flights delayed departure and another 11 arrival, according to the report. Two other flights arriving in the city were diverted to the José María Córdova airport in Rionegro, which has operated normally.

The restart of air activities it was at 10:00 in the morningafter the haze that affects the arrival and departure of aircraft dissipated.

The affectation of this air terminal was mainly for some domestic and several regional flightsmainly those that go to Chocó and Urabá and Bajo Cauca in Antioquia.
