Olga Bończyk accompanied her loved ones in the last moments of their lives

Olga Bończyk, Irena Santor, Grażyna Szapołowska, Dorota Deląg and the completely changed Magdalena Wójcik were among the guests invited by the “Heart has no wrinkles” Foundation to the “Change is a Woman” conference.

During the meeting organized at the Staszic Palace in Warsaw, stars discussed extremely important topics, including difficult ones such as dying. Olga Bończyk revealed that she had often witnessed the last moments of people close to her. These experiences completely changed her. As she confessed during the panel discussion, she realized that there was no point in wasting energy on the fear of death. On the contrary, he believes that the end of earthly existence can be the beginning of something beautiful:

“I entered the hospital room without fear. I’m not afraid of death at all. I am convinced that it is better on the other side.”

Olga Bończyk has become known as a person to whom spiritual matters are very close. Four years ago, she shared with “Fakt” her suspicion that her voice could have a healing effect. As she recalled then:

“I am often asked for the song “Her Portrait”. For people, a beloved song acts as the best therapy, so if I can be a therapist who brings relief to others with music, what if I could say no? I like to bring happiness or peace with music.”

As the artist confessed during the conference of the “Heart has no wrinkles” Foundation, her life experience has made her particularly sensitive to issues related to the fragility of human life and the mysteries of passing.

After fate made her a companion and witness to the last moments of people close to her heart, she realized that it was a great honor:

“I don’t know if it’s a privilege or a gift of fate that many, very important people to me passed away almost in my arms. Grażyna Szapołowska said that it is a certain privilege and honor from fate to be with someone in this last minute, in the last breath that they take. At first it was my mom, then my dad. Later, my friend… and several other people passed away in my arms.”

Bończyk revealed that these experiences, which many people might consider traumatic, paradoxically strengthened her innate optimism:

“Apart from the depth of despair that awakens in each of us, this moment is so unique and undoubtedly changes the perspective on life and causes something to change in us as well. These departures of people very close to me also changed me in my human side, as well as the feeling that none of us lasts forever. You have to enjoy life while it lasts, love it, fall in love with it, fall in love with yourself and just live and take everything to the fullest.

As the artist explained, witnessing the passing of loved ones convinced her that there was no reason to worry, because there was definitely something waiting for us on the other side. And even, who knows, maybe it’s even better than what we experience during our earthly journey:

“It would be crazy to say that I can’t wait to get to the other side and meet my loved ones, because I’m not that eager to end my life on earth. I have a really, really good life. However, I believe that the departure of my loved ones gave me faith that this earthly life is not the best moment in the life of our souls and everything can be changed, if not in this incarnation, then it is worth going to the next incarnation to change a lot of things for ourselves and for others.”
