With touching words, Oliver Pocher (45) congratulated his father on Instagram on his birthday and shared both a sad revelation and an important message: Gerhard Pocher (74) had a serious stroke.
The comedian writes about a series of photos in which father and son can be seen in funny snapshots together: “Today my father is a year older. What a year is behind him. A severe stroke has changed a lot in the last few weeks, but thanks to the quick and competent help of the doctors and hospital staff, the work and care of the rehabilitation team, my father was more than lucky again.”
No new episodes of “Papa and Pocher on the road”
On his birthday, Gerhard Pocher was “siting independently again and without help at the desk” and doing his financial accounting. However, the stroke now also means that the father-son duo can no longer stick to their RTL format “Papa and Pocher Travelling”, “because the strain on the journey is simply too great and it would be too exhausting for my father”. . The two-part documentary ran on television in June 2020, among other things.
Oliver Pocher is nevertheless grateful for the show and the associated trip to Thailand, “because nobody can take the time and memories from us anymore”. The comedian then addresses his fans and followers: “Enjoy the time with your family and your parents. She will never come back and fate sometimes strikes faster than we all would like.”
