Olivier de Wasseige joins Les Engagés

The former managing director of the Walloon Business Union, Olivier de Wasseige, is joining Les Engagés, the centrist movement announced this Wednesday.

The Engagés were to announce a new “major” recruit in Liège this Wednesday. The president of the party, Maxime Prévot, put an end to the suspense around noon in the offices of the Standard: it is Olivier de Wasseige who joins the centrist movement.

L’former managing director of the Walloon Business Union (UWE)“thanked” last April, is announced as head of list in Liège in the next regional elections in 2024.

The Committed struggle with disappointing results for several elections. Their president, Maxime Prévot, tried to relaunch the movement, and notably changed its name (previously “cdH”). A development which justifies his approach, indicated Olivier de Wasseige, who should also contribute to shaping the party’s program with a view to the June elections.
