Oman’s Strict Food Safety and Halal Standards: Ensuring Quality Imports and Local Market Compliance

The Center for Food Safety and Quality has clarified that food products imported and distributed in Oman will be halal or stringent.

All imported food products are closely monitored and laboratory analysis is carried out to ensure their safety, compliance with regulations and standards.

Products that do not meet safety standards will be rejected. Officials also clarified that they are not allowed to be sold in local markets.
