The film, based on Shannon Pufahl’s novel, has begun to receive reviews highlighting it’s sensual and visually striking portrayal of a forbidden romance.

Elordi plays Julius, a Korean War veteran returning home and grappling with the trauma of war. He finds temporary refuge with his brother, Lee (Will poulter), and Lee’s fiancée, Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones), before ultimately forging his own path to Las Vegas. There, he becomes entangled in a passionate, yet socially unacceptable, relationship with Henry (Diego Calva).

While the narrative follows a trio initially planning a new life in California, the film diverges to explore individual journeys of self-discovery and rebellion. Muriel, played by Edgar-Jones, also embarks on a path of quiet defiance, finding solace in horse betting and a burgeoning attraction to her neighbor, Sandra (Sasha Calle).
