The torrential rains received in New York caused many headaches for pedestrians in the Big Apple on Tuesday.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, two men in bad shape can be seen trying to walk through the flooded streets of northern Manhattan Island.
These two people were up to their shoulders in water, so they had no choice but to swim through the litter-strewn streets.
According to witnesses, they were trying to remove objects from the sewers that were blocking the passage of water to the city’s pipes.
The amounts of rain amounted to 40 mm on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, an American meteorological agency.
Flooding occurred in a few places in the city, including the metro, according to Archyde.com.
