A Seattle residence of rather peculiar proportions would be worth close to a million dollars, according to real estate site Zillow.
The owner of the house located on East 24th Avenue has decided to open its doors to Internet users by sharing a video of the house in the shape of a pie.
Indeed, the home of Emily Cangie is distinguished by its very narrow configuration. In the back, the residence measures only 55 inches, or regarding 140 centimeters.

In the video, the owner walks us through her house starting at the back, where there is a porch and a small vestibule.

Therefollowing, one enters a kitchen where there is little space to circulate. Still, Emily Cangie says it’s a “very efficient” space. However, she admits to being irritated by the presence of her refrigerator in the middle of the room.

After the kitchen, we find the living room, which also serves as a dining room, with a table that can accommodate up to six people.

Finally, the widest section of the house houses the bedroom, which is large enough to accommodate a “queen” size bed and two dressers.

The bathroom, located next to the bedroom, is however very small.

However, a second section of the house, located on the floor above and accessible only via an external staircase, contains a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom.

Including the two floors, the area of the residence is 850 square feet, or approximately 69 square meters.

Ms. Cangie and her husband have lived for more than two years in this house built in 1925 by a woman who lived with her husband in the neighboring residence before they divorced.

At that time, a woman might not get a loan in the United States; the divorcee therefore decided to build a property on the piece of land she had managed to obtain during the separation proceedings, which happened to be the front yard of her ex-husband’s house.

“The story goes that she decided to build a house to block the view of the yard before her ex-husband,” says Emily Cangie.
