After the rejection of the Omnibus Law in the Chamber of Deputies, Javier Milei directed his anger at legislators who voted against and, as collateral damage, began to point the finger directly at the governors. The fury did not stop there, but there are key government officials who respond to the provincial leaders and were targeted. This Friday, the rumors became reality and the president asked the head of ANSES to resign, Osvaldo Giordanor, already the Secretary of Mining, Flavia Royónlinked to the leaders of Córdoba and Salta, respectively.
Four members of the Cabinet came under scrutiny for their relationship with the leaders designated by Milei as “traitors”: Martin Llaryora (Cordoba), Maximilian Pullaro (Santa Fe), Carlos Sadir (Jujuy), Rolando Figueroa (Neuquen) and Gustavo Saenz (Salta).
In Casa Rosada they maintain that «The governors pushed for the law to be 100% the way they wanted and on top of that they asked us for provincial funds; “You can give them something, but not everything.” This discontent of the president generated tensions and possible requests for the resignation of some officials are already mentioned.
One of the most notable cases is that of the now former head of ANSES, Osvaldo Giordano, whose wife, Representative Alejandra Torres, voted against the Omnibus Law. The negative vote in Córdoba, especially, was taken personally by the ruling party, since it had granted two places in the Nation to men linked to former governor Juan Schiaretti and Llaryora.
Representative Torres, for her part, responded to the criticism, expressing her pain at the idea that because she is a “woman of” she cannot have her own opinion and criteria.
Giordano’s situation worsened due to the position of his wife in the negative vote, being one of the officials most questioned by President Mileiwho ended up deciding to ask him to resign.
For its part, Flavia Royón, Secretary of Mining and representative of the governor of Salta, Gustavo Sáenz, was also under the president’s sights.. She was one of the few officials who had remained in the Government, after the presidential transfer.

Among those named are the Secretary of Transportation, Franco Mogetta Prevedello, and the president of Banco Nación, Daniel Tillard, both coming from “cordobesismo.”
The legislative setback also affected other positions, such as those of Fabián López and Luis Giovine, from Córdoba who play roles in Infrastructure.
The departure of these officials could take place next week, when the resignation of Guillermo Ferraro from Infrastructure is made official and the readjustment of that portfolio is carried out, which will depend on Nicolás Posse and Luis Caputo, according to government sources.
