An explosion and subsequent collapse of a house in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Devoto left at least one dead and one Metrogas company operator seriously injured.
The event occurred at noon in Pedro Morán at 4900, near the corner of Quevedo, while the employees of the gas supplier were working on the property to resolve a leak.
For reasons not yet established, there was an explosion that destroyed part of the house and caused a general fire in the house, as well as the flames that affected two vehicles parked in the immediate vicinity of the place.
As a consequence of the explosion, the authorities registered a dead Metrogas operator and another injured with severe burns.
“We have found a fatal victim and we are removing rubble in search of other possible victims. We have no information that there were more people in the place, but we continue looking for protocol, “said one of those in charge of the operation in statements to the press.
Meanwhile, the director of the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAME), Alberto Crescenti, explained that the worker affected by the burns was “admitted in gravel condition” at the Zubizarreta Hospital.
