Guinea, like other countries in the world, celebrates March 8, International Women’s Rights Day.

“A 4th year Franco-Arab student lost his life on the sidelines of the festivities in Nzérékoré. Aged 13, he died of head trauma. His brother from the same father and same mother is also in serious condition. Preparations are being made for his evacuation to Conakry. Fifteen injured, some with head trauma following the collapse of a podium and jostling. Most are students,” Facely Konaté said, citing hospital sources.
