Back in our columns on the highlights of the year 2022 that took place in Roquefort. The 14th Painting and Sculpture Fair was able to take place again at the Arlabosse space. The Roquefortais of the stage, the painter Serge Courbot, was there alongside about fifteen artists who came to exhibit their creations. The municipal children’s council was created within the municipality in order to involve local youth in the democratic and civic life of their village. The Occasions’childcare of the Festival Committee brought together nearly 70 exhibitors in Arlabosse. The National Union of Combatants (UNC) of Lot-et-Garonne and Gers met in general assembly to take stock and lay two wreaths at the war memorial, lottos by sports clubs such as the Entente Sportive du Bruilhois (ESB) and other associations,… Theater with “Welcome chez les Brooks”, activities by the intergenerational association Roq’Atout’Ages, horse and pony competitions at the Etrier Agenais, the visit of the Basque tenor Michel Etcheverry in Arlabosse in front of a full and delighted room, the traditional meal of the hunters, the gala of the school of music and dance Anacrouse, the Soroptimist poetry prize, the Supercross in the enclosure of the Walygator park, the petanque competitions organized by the Boule Roquefortaise which punctuated summer Friday evenings, the welcome of new Roqueforters, the Forum of associations, the débal’jouets organized by the festival committee, the arrival of a new nanny at the Maison d’assistantes Kindergartens (Mam) Les Mi nis Roquefortais, the houses illuminated for Christmas by Francis Lapeyronnie and that of Jean Mentrel, the Roquefort Christmas market,… A very rich year in Roquefort.
