OnePlus could market the first smartphone that charges in 15 minutes

The “OnePlus Ace” might be unveiled in a few weeks.

In addition to a foldable smartphone, OnePlus is currently working on a new mid-range smartphone model that will integrate a unique feature. The OnePlus Ace would indeed be the only smartphone in the world that would fully recharge in less than 15 minutes. 5 minutes of charging would be enough to recharge its battery to 50%.

This innovation would not however be a creation of the Chinese brand but of Oppo, another company which is the property of BBK Electronics, also the parent company of the OnePlus brand. The company has developed a SuperVOOC sensor capable of fully recharging a 4500mAh battery in less than 15 minutes flat.

Despite this innovation, the OnePlus Ace would not position itself as a high-end device. It would ship a MediaTek processor instead of a Qualcomm processor, would be equipped with a 6.7″ OLED screen and a 50 megapixel sensor. All the innovations of the OnePlus 10 Pro would not necessarily be part of it.

However, we will not speak here of an entry-level device. Price level, it will be necessary to expect a price which will probably oscillate between 400 and 700€.
