Health agents and frameworks enter TunisiaStarting today, in an open strike in front of the Ministry’s headquarters, and this includes strike During the first week, it is open to all health and administrative institutions, bureaus, and facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Health, provided that it includes, in a second phase, all departments, including emergency departments and internal departments.

The Secretary-General of the National Coordination of Health Executives and Agents, Shukri Al-Mabrouki, explained that the strike is due to the non-activation of the minutes of the previous session, the Basic Law for the Agents, the rescue of health institutions, corruption files in this sector, and the file of grants, which he described as “ridiculous and will not change since the sixty years,” he said.

Al-Mabrouki said, “Most lobbies in the sector reject reform and development.” The spokesman stressed that their demands do not include an increase in wages, saying, “We did not ask for an increase in wages because we know the state’s situation, but we demanded a review of comic grants.” He added, “Is it possible that Aoun Health still receives a 40 dinar production grant for six months!

It is noteworthy that the Tunisian National Coordination of Health Executives and Agents threatened to enter into an open strike and sit-in at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in the event of failure to respond to what was stated in the February 16, 2023 agreement.
