OpenAI announced on Wednesday the return at the helm of its co-founder Sam Altman, a few days following his dismissal, announced the start-up creator of ChatGPT on X (formerly Twitter).

“We have reached an agreement in principle for Sam to return to OpenAI as CEO” with changes in the board of directors, notably headed by Bret Taylor and the arrival of Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo, explained the business. The other co-founder, Greg Brockman, who resigned following the firing, is also reinstated.

After Mr. Altman’s dismissal, most of the company’s senior executives still in office demanded the resignation of the entire board, failing which they said they were ready to resign.

On Monday, Microsoft – which has invested heavily in OpenAI – announced that it would hire Sam Altman to lead a new artificial intelligence research team. This Wednesday, Mr. Altman announced that he had the support of Microsoft boss, Satya Nadella, for his return to OpenAI.
