ÖGB President Katzian and VWBF chairman Gehbauer open an exhibition about non-profit housing in Austria

Living with a future – an exhibition by the Association for Housing Promotion

On the initiative of the VWBF – Association for Housing Promotion opened on October 4, 2023, 9:30 a.m the exhibition “Living with a future” in the premises of the Austrian Trade Union Confederation in the presence of ÖGB President Wolfgang Katzian and VWBF chairman Michael Gehbauer in Vienna.

The exhibition is dedicated to non-profit housing and its solutions for a safe, social and affordable home in times of multiple social, economic and ecological crises. After the first stop at the Austrian Trade Union Confederation, the exhibition will travel through other Austrian federal states until the end of 2024.

The project show shows 20 residential complexes from all over Austria and provides an insight into a wide variety of everyday realities and living spaces. The living spaces shown reflect questions about coexistence, administration, neighborhood development and environmentally friendly construction. Each project takes a closer look at a different aspect focusing on togetherness, mobility & urban development, organization and climate resilience.
