The Spanish film ‘The Snow Society’by Juan Antonio Bayona, which narrates the struggle of the survivors of the Los Andes air tragedy, was nominated this Tuesday for the Oscar award for best international film by the Hollywood Academy and the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hair Design.
This is the first nomination for Bayona (Barcelona, 1975), who will have to compete against the Italian ‘Io Capitano’, the British ‘The Zone of Interest’, the Japanese ‘Perfect days’ and the German ‘The teachers lounge’.
