A few weeks ago, rumors cited that OPPO was testing its new tablet with the most powerful platforms from Qualcomm and MediaTek: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300, respectively.
The launch of the product had been postponed indefinitely for testing of the tablet, which is expected to hit the market as the OPPO Pad 3 and successor to the model presented in March last year. Now, the tipster Digital Chat Station has brought new information about its chipset.
In a post on the Chinese social network Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is practically finalized for the OPPO Pad 3. This would make the tablet the best performer in the Android segment.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is made up of a Cortex-X4 core that has a maximum frequency of 3.3 GHz, 5 Cortex-A720 and 2 Cortex-A520 that reach 3.2 GHz and 2.3 GHz, respectively. According to Qualcomm, the chip is 30% faster and 20% more efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
It is worth remembering that the OPPO Pad 2 was launched with the Dimensity 9000 platform, suggesting an interesting leap in performance in the successor, if it is confirmed that it will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Unfortunately, this is the only information revealed to the informant. However, it is possible that it inherits some of the specifications from its predecessor, such as the 11.61-inch screen with 144 Hz refresh rate, 2,800 x 2,000 pixels resolution and maximum brightness of 500 nits.
