Opposition uproar in Assembly; MLAs in black shirts

Thiruvananthapuram: After the presentation of the budget and the three-day discussion on it, the adjourned assembly session resumed. Opposition MLAs Mathew Kuzhalnadan and Shafi Parambil arrived in the assembly wearing black shirts.

The opposition is protesting in the House over the tax burden and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s security. Opposition members came with placards and banners saying ‘If there is fear, the Chief Minister should stay at home’ and raised slogans in the House.

The opposition protested during the question session. This time also the media was not allowed to film the question session. Opposition leader VD Satheesan had given a letter raising this demand. Sabha TV also avoided the opposition protest.
