Optimizing Bureaucratic Processes: How AI Can Aid SMEs with Taxes and Customs

2023-06-27 03:12:35

The president of the association of Swiss exporting SMEs, Claudia Moerker, believes that artificial intelligence (AI) can be an effective help for companies dealing with bureaucracy. She points out in particular the tasks concerning taxes and customs.

Growing regulations force small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to constantly check their data and follow processes completely, said the president of the Swiss Export Association in an interview broadcast on the Blick’s online site on Tuesday. An AI of international customs formalities would disrupt the world of work, she adds.

Many things have already been invented, proven and developed quite naturally, continues Ms. Moerker. But AI can optimize processes all along the value creation chain, she notes.

The manager remains evasive regarding job losses linked to the use of AI. ‘There will be, as in many places, a transfer. Computer literacy will become more important’.
