Orange has launched an operation on TikTok with the 2018 World Champion, Blaise Matuidi, a member of Team Orange Football. Through 3 short videos, he invites young people to limit their screen time and more particularly on the popular social network of the young generation: TikTok. According to a recent study, 13-18 year olds spend an average of 1h47 per day on the TikTok social network.
By surfing the codes of the application, Blaise Matuidi lent himself to the exercise in small situational videos. Driven by the social network’s algorithm, the video capsules are visible to 15-17 year olds on Monday and Thursday evenings following 10 p.m. and on Sunday followingnoons from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Times when young people should, in theory, disconnect.
Nearly 400,000 views and comments where young people follow the advice of “Tonton Blaisou”.
This is a new operation by Orange, to raise young people’s awareness of the repeated and prolonged use of social networks.
