Now, the announced news changes the pattern seen so far, thanks to the replacement of chips normally signed by Allwinner, Rockchip or Arm with a solution signed by Ascend, from Huawei.

Named Orange Pi AIpro, the new product measures approximately the same as an Orange Pi 5 (and wider than the Raspberry Pi 5) and has a chip on board that was not specified but at least we know is a quad-core Huawei Ascend 64-bit with AI performance of 8/20 TOPS.

In addition, the new SBC (single-board computer) is offered in versions with 8GB or 16 GB of LPDDR4X-3200 RAM and supports the addition of storage through an M.2 2280 input, an additional eMMC 5.1 HS400 slot up to 256GB and microSD card support.

In connectivity, the Orange Pi AIpro supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth LE 4.2, in addition to 2 HDMI 2.0 ports capable of playing at up to 4K 60 fps and two MIPI interface inputs, 2 USB-A 3.0 ports, 2 USB-A C (one being 3.0 and the other for power supply, 20V), and input for headphones (or speakers). In terms of systems, Ubuntu and openEuler are compatible.

Now on sale, the Orange Pi AIpro can be purchased in China with a campaign to give gifts to the first 1000 developers who purchase the model, for the equivalent of R$618.89 and R$799.91 respectively in versions with 8 and 16 GB of RAM .
