The official website of Rappel conso published a sheet on Tuesday concerning Maltese orange fillets from Tunisia containing a pesticide not authorized by the European Union (Chlorpyrifos). The fruits were offered to customers of Auchan, Cora, Intermarché, E. Leclerc, Match and Système U stores between February 10 and February 20, 2023.
The oranges were presented in fillets of 1.5 or 2 kg, but also in bulk. Several batches are affected by the recall and bear the following barcodes: 3254560413245 or 3605265023763. The citrus fruits were marketed throughout France.

It is advisable to no longer consume the indicated fruits due to the presence of the chemical contaminant. Consumers are invited to destroy the product or bring it back to the point of sale before March 19 for a refund.
On February 17, Maltese oranges were also the subject of a recall for “exceeding the maximum residue limits of phytosanitary products”. The fillets were this time sold by Grand Frais and Fresh.
