The ORF expects 676.2 million euros in fee income for 2023, the last year of the GIS. Since ORF Director General Roland Weißmann has to present a savings package of 320 million euros by 2026 in return for the budget levy politically agreed with Media Minister Susanne Raab (ÖVP) and the Greens, he announced on Monday, among other things, the cancellation of the ORF radio symphony orchestra (RSO) and the specialist channel ORF Sport+ as a linear broadcaster.
ORF will take in around 60 million more from 2024
