The Badminton Tournament organized by the Norwegian Malayalee Association (Nanma) for the Norwegian Malayalees was held on Saturday 5th March in Oslo. The tournament was organized in the memory of Mathew Pulimoottil, former president of the Nanma Association. Twenty-two men’s and women’s teams from different parts of Norway participated in the tournament. Nanma President Sindhu Abigail inaugurated the tournament.
In the women’s category, Bincy Antony / Ramina Feroz and Seema Stalin / Tinu Vineet bagged the first and second positions respectively. In the men’s category, Maju Jose / Namesh Thitta won the first place and Sreejith Raman / Joseph Stalin won the second place.
Dr. Seema Mathew and Dr. Tito Idikula presented the Mathew Pulimoottil Memorial Ever Rolling Trophies to the winners. The runners-up medal and cash award were presented by Whitson in the fourth round.
The cash awards were sponsored by Raju Varghese and Wilson Nalampurakkal. Nanma General Secretary Melvin Lawrence expressed gratitude.
