The Ottawa Senators would have won their case and they would have been informed by the Department of Player Safety that Brady Tkachuk will not be suspended, despite his penalty for instigating a fight in the last five minutes of the defeat of 6-4 against the Buffalo Sabers on Tuesday night.

Tkachuk fought with Alex Tuch after being hooked by the Sabers winger as he exited his team’s zone without the puck, with 3:10 remaining in the game.
The 24-year-old winger received a two-minute penalty for instigating the fight and a 10-minute misconduct in addition to a major penalty for fighting.
