Despite this, Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that the situation in the country is under control.

Recall that an outbreak of a disease that resembles dengue fever in symptoms occurred in the village of El Alikat in the province of Qena, south of Cairo. People complain of high fever, aching bones, vomiting and dizziness.

Rospotrebnadzor said that there are no cases of an “unknown disease” in Russia, but dengue fever occurs periodically. Last year, there were 29 cases in the country among those who arrived from southern countries.

Nevertheless, it was decided to strengthen sanitary control over flights from Egypt.
