Outside food and drinks can be banned in theatres, free drinking water should be provided- Supreme Court

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has said that the owners have the power to ban the use of outside food and drinks inside the cinema theatres. But the Supreme Court also directed that clean drinking water should be provided free of charge. The Supreme Court also directed that food and drinks brought to the elderly and infants should not be restricted.

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court had ordered that food and drinks should be brought to movie theaters and multiplexes and not be stopped. In the petition filed against this, Chief Justice D.Y.
