Alexander Ovechkin came out on top in hits in the Stanley Cup.

Captain “Washington” topped the list of players NHL with the most power moves in playoff matches.

Statistics have been kept since the 2005/06 season.

Ovechkin has 619 hits in 145 matches (4.27 on average per match). The Russian got ahead of the ex-defender of Pittsburgh and “Washington” Brooks Orpik (611 in 156 games, 3.92 per game).

The top 5 also includes Chris Kunitz (530 at 178, 2.98 per game), Zdeno Hara (493 in 200, 2.47) and Milan Lučič (“Calgary”, 475 at 128, 3.71).
