Florida’s Hurricane Ian death toll has passed 100 and the search for survivors is still ongoing.
At least half of the fatalities recorded so far have been in Lee County. The local authorities are criticized for not having warned the residents sufficiently or in good time.
On Monday, US President Joe Biden visited Puerto Rico, which was hit by Hurricane Fiona just days before Ian arrived in Florida. He pledged $60 million in aid.
