I was reading this morning the words of this person who is convinced that life is meaner to her than it is to the other people around her, because, according to her, everything that happens to her is unfairly negative. I don’t know if she really knows what it’s like to be underserved by life to talk like that?
I spent a good part of my childhood in a youth centre. I started my adult life by being the victim of an automobile accident which caused me to lose the use of both my legs. I live in a mini-apartment adapted for my condition because I had the great luck of being supported by a mutual aid organization. But despite my condition, I try to do volunteer work, because it’s one of the few ways I can get out of my house to meet people, and especially to feel useful.
I don’t want to complain, but between you and me Madam, if you took the time to look a little more at the human misery around you, maybe you would see that basically, your situation isn’t that bad?
