A source familiar with the Ministry revealed the health And residents, for details of the punishment of a number of leaders of the Health Directorate in Matrouh Governorate, and the transfer of a large number of doctors during the last period.
Punishing 116 doctors and 5 leaders in Matrouh Governorate
The source explained to Cairo 24 that 116 doctors were transferred and moved to a number of hospitals in the governorate, and 5 leaders in the Health Directorate in Matrouh Governorate were punished.
The source added that the reason is due to a sudden passing procedure two weeks ago by the Ministry, and it was found that there was a high absenteeism rate and the level of performance in hospitals was below the standard.
In a separate context, the Ministry of Health and Population organized training workshops and discussion and consultative sessions, with the aim of exchanging experiences, visions, and modern theories on the strategic framework for digital health in Egypt and its development, in a way that contributes to improving Egyptian health systems and raising their efficiency, in cooperation with global health organizations, UNICEF, and civil society. and all concerned parties.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that these workshops are a common platform that brings together all the opinions and experiences of partners from all parties concerned with developing the digital health strategy in Egypt, according to specific criteria and controls, with the aim of reaching modern ideas and solutions, as well as reviewing challenges or obstacles. And to participate in developing optimal solutions for them, in a way that contributes to bridging any gaps, and to work to produce joint teamwork that attests to its success.
For his part, Major General Ashraf Abdel-Alim, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, added that the ministry pays great attention to this digital strategy, which among its objectives is to establish a strong digital health governance system to enable the implementation of digital health services in a sustainable and comprehensive implementation that can be expanded. Improving the access of population groups in remote and rural areas to health services, reducing material hardship, as well as improving the availability of data, enhancing its quality and consistency, in addition to advancing the development, implementation and evaluation of national digital health strategies in line with the level of maturity in the field of global digital health.
