The international artist, Elton John, had a sleepwalking accident in his villa in Nice, so he was taken to the hospital on Sunday night, specifically to the orthopedic department at the Princess Grace Hospital Center in Monaco, where he was examined.
A representative for Elton confirmed to MailOnline that the 76-year-old was released from hospital on Monday morning and returned home “in good health”.
In a statement, he said: “We can confirm that following falling at his home in the south of France, Elton visited the local hospital as a precaution and following checks, he was immediately discharged this morning and returned home in good health.”
A source in Nice said: “Alton had a small domestic accident at his villa in Mont-Boron. He was hospitalized in the orthopedic ward at Princess Grace Hospital, but only suffered minor injuries. He underwent examinations and did not reveal any fractures.
Alton was last seen enjoying a relaxing day on his luxury yacht with a group of friends in Saint-Tropez on August 22.
Elton was also seen having dinner with Kevin Spacey in Nice earlier this month following the actor was acquitted of sexual assault charges.
While Elton did not rule out the release of new music in the future, following he decided to retire regarding artistic tours in order to spend more time with his family. “Touring is stressful for me now, and it takes me away from my family and my two kids,” he said.
