Innsbruck – Federal Chancellor and ÖVP Federal Party Chairman Karl Nehammer will apparently not play a role in the Tyrolean ÖVP’s election campaign for the state elections on September 25th. “At least no appointments have been made,” said ÖVP chairman, top candidate Anton Mattle when asked whether Nehammer would be present. At the same time, Mattle once more clearly criticized the Chancellor’s statements at the state party conference (“alcohol or psychotropic drugs”): It was “a shame”, that shouldn’t happen.
