The case of sexual exploitation of a minor with the blessings of her father, which had caused a pan-Hellenic uproar, has been determined by the Dodecanese Appeals Prosecutor’s Office to be heard in the second degree at the Dodecanese Mixed Court of Appeal on March 4, 2024.
The court of first instance, with a majority decision, found the defendants, namely a 67-year-old resident of Kalymnos and a 41-year-old fellow resident of Kalymnos, guilty of repeated rape, repeated indecency with a minor under the age of 15, repeated sex trafficking of a minor and for simple complicity in lewdness with a minor under the age of 15 against regular and customary remuneration.

In the first no mitigating factors were recognized while in the second the mitigating factor of subsequent good behavior was recognized.
The first was sentenced to 28 years in prison (he will serve 25) and a fine of 100,000 euros and the second to 13 years in prison.

She claimed that the 67-year-old continued to molest her almost 2 to 3 times every week.
She specifically claimed that he raped her and left her 5 to 10 euros each time and that she herself left the money to her father.
She also claimed that her father encouraged her to be with the 67-year-old and sometimes even argued with her.
The defendants categorically denied what the minor claims and emphasized that these are fictions.
