“Survivors of the Void” is an extended content that adds new survivors and new maps to “Risk of Rain 2”. Railgunner is one of the new survivors. She is a survivor who specializes in one-shot killing, as she can sniper the highlighted enemy’s weaknesses and always hit critical damage.
Another new survivor is Void Fiend. Void Fiend has a gauge called Corruption. This number gradually increases, especially when it receives damage. On the contrary, when it recovers, the value goes down. Void Fiend transforms from a controlled form to a disrupted form by accumulating the Corruption gauge. The four basic abilities transform into completely different effects. For example, the basic technique, Drown, is a general-purpose ability that deals moderate damage over long distances in controlled form. On the other hand, in the corrupted form, it transforms into an aggressive ability that causes great damage to approaching enemies. Using the two forms properly while managing the gauge is the key to mastering Void Fiend.
Also, new elements have been added for items. By destroying normal items, you will be able to unlock new powers. Acquiring 14 types of empty items will change the normal effect of those items. For example, an ukulele that allows electric shock attacks on multiple enemies will now target a single unit rather than a swarm when it collapses. Some items have the opposite effect or have completely different effects, so a different operation method is required.
