In the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg, a paid parking zone has been operating since July 1. Vasileostrovskiy is next in line.
According to Komtrans, in total, regarding 10,000 parking spaces have been organized on 141 streets of the Petrogradsky district, at least a thousand for the disabled. 3,500 road signs, 80 parking meters, more than a thousand information plates (they indicate the parking zone number and payment methods) were supplied. As part of the preparation of the district for the launch of paid parking, one-way traffic was organized on a number of streets, there are now 72 of them.
Residents of the Petrogradsky District can apply for a resident parking permit for 1–3 years for 1,800 rubles a year, more than 6,000 of them have already done this. In the fall, paid parking will also be launched on Krestovsky Island and in the Vasileostrovsky District.
At the same time, it became known that from July 1, the short number for parking SMS payment is changing, now it is 3065, and the former 5303 will not work.
