After a period of controversy and doubts, Argentine model Wanda Nara announced her official separation from Argentine star Mauro Icardi.
The couple began their relationship when Wanda was married to Maxi Lopez, a friend of Icardi at the time, but she left him to later marry the former Inter, Sampdoria and Paris Saint-Germain star.
A year ago, there were many rumors regarding their separation, due to Icardi cheating on her, but they held on to their relationship for a period that seemed to be temporary.
“It’s a painful moment but given the invasion of my privacy and the media speculation that is emerging, it is best to hear this news from me,” said Wanda, who also serves as Icardi’s agent.
He added, “I have nothing to say and do not want to give details regarding this separation. I hope people will understand that this decision was made not only for my own good but for the sake of our children.”
Wanda married Icardi in 2014, one year following her divorce from her ex-husband, Maxi Lopez, in one of the most famous personal issues in Italian football history.
For his part, Icardi, who is currently playing with the Turkish Galatasaray, did not comment on what his wife said through his accounts on social media.
It is noteworthy that the 29-year-old Icardi recently moved to Galatasaray from Paris on loan, aspiring to revive his career once more following his significant decline with the French club.
