Islamabad: The use of smartphones has been banned at a women’s university in Pakistan’s northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Swabi Women’s University has imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 for violating the ban. The Taliban have influence in the region, which borders Afghanistan.
