Pakistani police declare a state of emergency in all hospitals in Islamabad

The Pakistani police announced the imposition of a state of emergency in all hospitals in Islamabad, making way for ambulances and firefighters, against the background of the attempt to arrest former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Take care of women, children and the elderly. The public is required to remain calm and cooperate with the police. Do not damage plants and trees,” she said in a statement.

Pakistani media said that the police forces stormed the house of former Prime Minister Imran Khan to arrest him in the city of Lahore, and the pioneers of social networking sites shared videos of the moment of the storming.

According to “Archyde.com”, former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he had formed a committee to lead his party in the event of his arrest, stressing: “There is a greater threat to my life than before.”

He added: “Political opponents and the military are trying to prevent me from returning to power, and there will be a very strong reaction across Pakistan to any attempt to arrest or kill me.”

Today, Saturday, the Pakistani authorities closed parts of the capital, Islamabad, and deployed thousands of security forces, in preparation for a hearing in which former Prime Minister Imran Khan will appear before the court on charges of corruption, after he managed to escape from detention for a week amid violent clashes..
