New York – In view of the devastating floods in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on richer countries to support his country in the fight against climate change at the UN general debate. “Nature raged against Pakistan without looking at our carbon footprint, which is almost zero,” Sharif said on Friday. It is therefore “quite reasonable to expect some approximation of justice” for damage caused by climate change in his country.
