MINISTER State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno said that Prabowo Subianto’s presence in China was not as an elected president. However, as Minister of Defense (Menhan).

Prabowo Subianto paid a courtesy visit to Chinese President HE Xi Jinping, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China, Monday (1/4).
During the meeting with the President of China, Minister of Defense Prabowo conveyed warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and his appreciation for the warm welcome.
“I would like to express my appreciation for the warm welcome to me and the delegation. “Allow me to also convey warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo,” said Minister of Defense Prabowo.

In the bilateral meeting, the Minister of Defense hopes to continue to progressively implement the action plan to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Indonesia and China.
“Regarding defense cooperation, I view China as one of the key partners in ensuring regional peace and stability,” said the Minister of Defense.
Meanwhile, President Xi Jinping expressed China’s commitment to enhancing comprehensive strategic cooperation with Indonesia. This shows China’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations with Indonesia in various fields, including defense, economy and security. (Z-8)
