Palakkad: A young man fell from his bike at Kallingal junction on Thursday night and sustained serious injuries, police said. Girish, a native of Kodumba, who fell from his bike and sustained serious head injuries, is undergoing treatment at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.
Though it was initially thought that the bike overturned, the police found out that due to personal animosity, a friend who was traveling on another bike deliberately tried to kill Girish.
South police arrested Saju, a native of Thiruvalathur, and Akshay, who was riding a bike, for pushing Girish down. The youths escaped following a planned accident on their way home following getting drunk from a bar in Chandranagar.
