Tonight, between Sunday November 26 and Monday November 27, 2023, the Paluel nuclear power plant, (Seine-Maritime) may make noise.
Disturbances which will be heard “around Paluel”. But don’t worry. According to EDF (Électrcité de France), which manages the establishment, these noises “are part of the normal running of the nuclear power plant. »
No impact on the environment
« Valve testing on production unit no. 4 will be carried out, in the non-nuclear part of the installation, during the night of Sunday 26 to Monday 27 November,” explains EDF.
It is these tests which will be at the origin of the noises. “ Rapid evacuation of water vapor by the valves during the tests can generate noise disturbances perceptible from homes located near the power plant,” specifies EDF.
EDF adds that these tests “have not no impact on the environment« .
