Paraguay fulfills the State’s commitments to indigenous communities

Asunción, IP Agency.- Representatives of different State institutions carry out a technical visit to Pozo Colorado, Chaco, within the framework of compliance with rulings of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR).

The points fulfilled include those related to land; the supervision of basic assistance consisting of food, health, education, among others; supervising works on access roads and supervising the implementation by indigenous people of the Community Development Funds.

The four communities to be visited in the Paraguayan Chaco correspond to Yakye Axa; Xákmok Kásek; Sawhoyamaxa; and Kelyenmagategma.

The inter-institutional delegation of 27 entities and organizations is made up of the general director of Strategic Communication of the Ministry of Technology and Communication (MITIC), César Palacios. Paraguay TV will broadcast the activities of this working group that will be dialoguing with these communities this Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th.
