Asuncion, IP Agency.-The 25th edition of the Pan American Adult Championship, one of the largest competitions in the region, is taking place in the Peruvian capital.
Paraguay has been successfully participating in these competitions and the 2024 edition is no exception, with the duo of Lujan Palacios and Fiorella Gatti clearly standing out.
The national representatives achieved a significant victory against the strong Brazilian squad, made up of Bruna Petrillo and Juliana Pereira by 2 to 1, advancing to the quarterfinals stage. In that stage, they will face Colombia today. The partial scores in the great Paraguayan victory were 11-3, 9-11 and 11-2.
In singles, Francesco Marcantonio, the current leading figure in national squash, reached the round of 16.
