Last July, Madeleine was invited by a friend to Parc Astérix. The 35-year-old Frenchwoman, who told her misadventure to our colleagues at Liberation, wanted to try the new roller coaster attraction.
Toutatis, this roller coaster, is the fastest ride in France. It reaches a speed of 110 km/h. But Madeleine was unfortunately unable to take part in the attraction because the staff did not manage to close the safety harness of her trolley, because of her corpulence.
Madeleine was therefore asked to leave the attraction. “It was a really shameful situation,” reacted the 30-year-old.
Parc Astérix has apologized and intends to ask its supplier to provide trolleys more suitable for stronger people.
Once Madeleine had left the attraction, the manager came to her and wanted to offer her compensation, he who did not condone what had just happened. Madeleine did not want to experience another humiliating experience and went home.
