The President of the National Transition Council brought to the pinnacle in Paris. In the French capital on Friday September 29, 2023, Dr Dansa KOUROUMA received the high and remarkable distinction from the Universal League for the Public Good through a Gold medal and a diploma. The ceremony brought together high-ranking personalities from various backgrounds.
According to the organizers, this distinction is a result of the recipient’s remarkable contributions to the progress of society in his or her field of activity. They were seduced by the man’s atypical journey. Needless to say, Dr Dansa KOUROUMA devoted many years of his life to working for the good of his country, to building a better society in Guinea and Africa. At a very young age, he believed in his dream of being a great servant of humanity. Hence his choice of civil society, the only entity that still escapes the irrational practices born from the excessive politicization or ethnicization of Guinean society. Dr Dansa KOUROUMA cut his teeth alongside prestigious figures in the fight for social justice, an egalitarian and democratic society in Guinea. Like the late Ben Sékou SYLLA, Hadja Rabiatou Serrah DIALLO, Ibrahima FOFANA etc.
Brought to the head of the National Council of the Transition following the assumption of responsibility by the Guinean army, Dr Dansa KOUROUMA breathed dynamism into this institution to which he belonged in 2010. Today, under his leadership, this body has become a real gateway to the Transition. Through its motto Responsibility, Integrity and Impartiality, the CNT has been able to build a fruitful dialogue with the different components of national life.
With this distinction, Dr Dansa KOUROUMA enters the Pantheon of immortality alongside other globally recognized recipients. These include Abbé PIERRE (founder of EMMAUS), Neil Armstrong (American cosmonaut), John Fitzgerald KENNEDY (former President of the USA), Louis ARMAND (of the French Academy), Joséphine BAKER (artist), etc.
In receiving this distinction, Dr Dansa KOUROUMA paid tribute to his parents, his fellow National Advisors, his close collaborators and more particularly to the President of the Transition, Colonel Mamadi DOUMBOUYA. He will say that the latter offered him the incredible opportunity to express his love and loyalty to the brave people of Guinea.
Remember that the Universal League for the Public Good has been in existence for 559 years.
