Paris Olympics: Arshad Nadeem in javelin final

Paris Olympics of Pakistan in 2024 Javelin Tharoor Arshad Nadeem qualified for the final round on Tuesday.

Arshad Nadeem threw 86.59 meters in the Olympics and qualified for the final round. He is currently ranked third in Group B, while India’s Neeraj Chopra is ranked first with 89.34 meters.

The javelin throw final at the Paris Olympics will be held on August 8.

In the javelin throw qualification round, Arshad Nadeem had to throw at least 84 meters to qualify for the final, and he qualified with a throw of 86.59 meters in the first attempt. This is Arshad Nadeem’s second consecutive Olympic final. Earlier, Arshad Nadeem was in fifth position in Tokyo Olympics.

In javelin throw events, 4 athletes from Group A qualified for the next stage, Germany’s Julian Weber threw 87.76 meters and finished first, Kenya’s Julius Yego threw 85.97 meters.

Arshad Nadeem, if there is any chance for Pakistan to win a medal or a position in Paris Olympics, the rest of the Pakistani athletes are currently out of the list of all competitions, while Pakistan has not won a medal in the Olympics since 1992.

Arshad Nadeem managed to win the gold medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but in the 2023 World Athletics Championships, he failed to defeat India’s Neeraj Chopra and bagged the silver medal.
